The City of Newport Beach has a new committee, the Bicycle Master Plan Oversight Committee; They’re about to have their first meeting.

Public Works’ Brad Sommers sent the announcement:

The first meeting is planned for Monday, June 17th, from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Community Room at the new City Hall. This will be a housekeeping meeting to introduce the stakeholders, review committee’s goals and project scope, and define the City’s role. The meeting will be open to the Public and committee will be subject to the Brown Act.

I’m looking forward to contributing to the discussion. If you’ve got the afternoon off, come by Peets Coffee in CdM Plaza at 3:30pm for a caffeine pop before the meeting.
