We all talk about bike friendly — here’s a great example of bike-share from Chicago’s Department of Transportation.
My friend, Rose Nguyen, just returned Friday from Chicago and shared these photos with me. These bike-share kiosks are being installed now, in fact Rose was watching as they installed one of them.
Chicago has an elevated train system to move people from here to there. These bike kiosks are being installed at the station stops for the elevated train. I can’t read the sign too well, but I can see that it says the price is $7 for a 24 hour pass or $75 for an annual membership. The theory being, get on the train and when you get off you can bike to your final destination.
I’ll share more details with you as they come my way.
Now that’s bike friendly!
With all of the AMTRAK stations up and down this state, wouldn’t it be nice…
