Yeah, the weather’s amazing and about to get warmer, a lot warmer, but be careful on those ambitious rides – air quality is pretty poor on a lot of your favorite coastal routes.

The AQMD has called No Burn Days for the entire weekend – that means no burning wood in your fireplace because the air outside is already so full of harmful particulates.

Checking the air quality is part of The New ABCs.

Are these new determinations? Have we always been hearing about No Burn Days?

No, they just started last winter and there were only a few NBDs called last year. Since then the EPA has lowered the threshold for particulate matter, so we’re hearing more about these health advisory days.
