Blocking the bike lane? That was easy.
That was easy. Easy for the driver of this delivery truck to park illegally by a red curb. And easy to block the bike lane.
As for cyclists? Not so easy. And definitely not safe. Especially considering the location – just north of Newport Harbor High School along Irvine Blvd.
In Newport Beach riding bicycles on sidewalks is illegal. That makes this is a scary situation, especially for less experienced cyclists.
Easy to block the bike lane? Yes. Smart? No.
