The signs warn, you’re entering animal habitat — rattlesnakes and mountain lions live here.
But my first time into this off-road junction, confronted with this choice, I selected the path on the left. My mistake. It travels downhill so I’m gearing up only to hit a dead end. Then I’m turning around and walking the bike up the hill, not such a comfortable situation to be in the middle of Newport’s own Lion Country Safari.
A little wayfinding sign would be well sited here.
