Arthur Schopenhauer

Jim Sayer quoted 19th Century German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer during the CA Bike Summit last weekend; it seems to fit the struggle we all face in dealing with resistance to change.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I’m gonna keep this in mind — it’s important to know where you are on the curve.

I don’t know if Schopenhauer rode a bike.
